What Is Interview?
Interview Definition: The world "interview" 'means between' or 'sight between'.It is an oral communication where two people for the purpose of getting a view of each other get a meeting.The purpose of an interview is to find out the views,attitudes and ideas of person ( interviewer ) who is being interviewed.The employer through an interview aims to know whether the job being offered by the company can be suitable to the application.An interview is thus a means of two way communication.
Objectives Of An Interview:
01. To find out the most suitable candidate for the job in terms of knowledge,skill and attitude.
02. To provide the candidate sufficient information about the job and the company offering the job.
03. To make the selected candidates confident by creating a sense of understanding.
04. To promote goodwill of the company by giving the right kind of impression to all candidate.
Types Of Interview
There are three types of interview question like as
01. Structured Interview.
02. Semi- Structured Interview.
03. Unstructured Interview.
Interview Techniques
01. Screening: When the number of application for any job is larger in number then the respective business concern eliminates unsuitable candidates.Then some more candidates are dropped out through a preliminary interview.Only few candidates who are really well are called for final interview.
02. Random Appearance: Some interviewers have the belief that the man is more important that the application.They want to judge the man by his personal appearance rather than on the basis of his application.So they call every application for interview to select the brilliant candidate.
03. Tests: To judge the candidate's intelligence ,general knowledge ,proficiency in language etc a larger number of firm gives importance on oral or written test.
04. Experience: Some employers believe that practical experience is more important than paper qualification.So they due give emphasis on practical hand rather than fresh graduate.That is not very sound policy because it eliminates fresher who might be really brilliant, enthusiastic and committed.
